About Gisel Booman
Gisel Booman is Chief Scientist at Regen Network Development where she leads the integration process between science and some of our main stakeholders (methodology developers, project proponents, landstewards) to improve the quality and transparency around the quantification of outcomes from regenerative management.
Gisel has a diverse background as an independent Environmental and GIS Consultant since 2014, alongside previous roles such as Assistant Professor of GIS at Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata and GIS and Remote Sensing Consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank. Notably, Gisel contributed to the development of conservation indices for South American grasslands and has experience in wetland delineation. Gisel holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Landscape Ecology from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, further underscoring a robust academic foundation in the environmental sciences.

Gisel Booman teaches in our Foundations Course which runs for 15 weeks three or four times a year. This course is designed to turn you into a regenerative climate leader and equip you with practical, science-based regenerative solutions to our climate emergency and polycrisis.
